The New Music Market: I was surprised to see there was a Billboard chart for cel phone ring tones. I'm happy to see the Super Mario Brothers theme (sound link) is up there. Now in Britian, a ring tone is beating out a single on the charts. At least they're getting people to pay for downloading music.
A cell-phone ring tone appeared set to top the British singles chart Sunday, outselling the new single by the band Coldplay by nearly four to one, a music retailer said.

Say "Hello" to the Empire? Here's the latest from Europe:

"Lucas' themes of democracy on the skids and a ruler preaching war to preserve the peace predate 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' by almost 30 years. Yet viewers Sunday - and Lucas himself - noted similarities between the final chapter of his sci-fi saga and our own troubled times."

From the AP: 'Wars' Raises Questions on U.S. Policy

So I can't help but wonder, do they think our President is Darth Vader or Jar Jar Binks?

How Not To Mix Faith and Politics: Democrat church members are kicked out of their congregation by a Republican pastor. Ugh. This is a serious case of extreme ego, not the side effect of faith. Nevertheless, expect the broad brushes to start swinging.

So you want to be a cartoonist? Here are my thoughts on the subject. Unfair and imbalanced. The quality of cartooning advice provided is not necessarily greater than the quality of cartooning advice provided by other cartoonists.
